Anna on Internship

Anna completed her finals this past week and left for her internship today. She will be spending the next two months in Arizona. It was not an easy task to say goodbye in the airport, especially with all the recent rules and regulations at the airport. I can see myself someday telling some young children that once upon a time, anybody could go through security and wait until the passengers boarded the plane before saying goodbye. Now a days, a couple of security guards make sure goodbyes are said 30 minutes prior to boarding the plane in the main terminal. The airport used to have more emotion, but now that emotion has been regaled to either the curb side drop off or the baggage claim for people returning.

This next week should keep me distracted since it is finals week and my students will begin checking out of the hall. Some have done so already after graduation today (many seniors have the option of not taking finals). In the end, I will have to check through all 95 suites (380 bedrooms, 190 bathrooms, 95 living rooms, and 95 kitchens) before my RAs can leave, and knowing them, they will want that done quickly.

My goal for Sunday? To find activities NOT related to work that can distract me and keep the stress level down prior to the chaos of next week.
