Home again....

We are settled back into life at home. Here are pictures of the puppies, who were so happy that we came back.

Scout. We started intermediate puppy class when we got home. He knows sit, wait, come, shake, down, leave it, drop it.... And lots more. He working on "go to bed" this week using his new dog bed, which he is picking up nicely. We are making improvements walking in the heel position, which makes our twice daily walks much more enjoyable.

Riley. He thinks all the stuff that Scout is learning at puppy class is dumb, and refuses to participate. Especially in activities like "shake." He has, however, recently mastered the advanced skill of "roll over." Riley refuses to recognize the dog-size piece of foam and fluff that we got for each of them as a "bed" and won't "go to bed" either. He is in desperate need of a haircut.

Paris- last day in photos

We have been home now for a few weeks but here are some pictures from our last day in Paris. Lots more walking.... We did some window shopping and just wandering with only a vague itinerary for the day.

St. Germain DES Pres.... Part of the original abbey that was built in the 6th century by the Benedictines still stands as part of the church. Soooooo old!

We brought a book about food, markets, and specialty shops with us. Because we were sick and didn't have an appetite for much of our trip we didn't utilize it as much as we would have liked. But we did spend our last day finding some of the specialty shops that it recommended. One was a place that specialized in macarons, a cookie made with egg whites, almond flour and sugar, typically filled with a buttercream or jam, but available in many specialty flavors. We tried a caramel, rose, chocolate, and a specialty with passionfruit and something else. Overall, rose was our least favorite, and we loved the caramel. Delicious! I am going to have to find some recipes....

Anna also visited the museum of medical history. She couldnt read all the signage, but thought it was interesting to see the exhibits nonetheless. This painting was outside of the museum.

This was a great little car on a great little street.

One of the chocolate shops we visited.....

We enjoyed our trip!!!!
