Paris: Day six

Versailles: This morning was spent out of the city with a tour of the Palace at Versailles. The palace was home to King Louis XIV, King Louis XV, and King Louis XVI. In addition to a guided tour in English we were able to wander the gardens before returning to Paris.

When we returned to Paris, we walked some of the gardens and enjoyed some crepes avec fromage. Within the last three days Spring has decided to come early to Paris and we get to enjoy the flowers and trees which typically do not bloom until April.

The afternoon was spent with Anna's cousin Michelle and her boyfriend Phil. (They live in London but happened to be on holiday inVersailles this weekend.) Our plan was to explore the left bank, but the we got stalled at the Eiffel Tower. We waited in line and made our way up to the very top of the tower. There was champaign for sale at the top (didn't get any because the price was sky high) and a bathroom at the top (didn't go in but still trying to figure out the mechanics on that one).
